The Peters Township Federation of Teachers supports our students and community. Each year we coordinate several fundraisers to raise money for our philanthropy fund, which contributes donations and sponsorships to student activities and programs, community needs, and our scholarship program. Each year, the PTFT awards a scholarship to a PTSD student who intends to enter the field of education. Last year we were able to raise the scholarship amount to $2, 500 through the support of our members.

This year, the PTFT sponsored students who participated in McMurray's Rise & Run Club. Organized by Amy Caputo and David Lewandowski, these students met in the mornings before school to prepare for the Pittsburgh Kids Marathon. Great job to everyone who participated!
The PTFT made a $100 donation/sponsorship to the PTHS Cross Country team fundraiser
This travel basket was created and donated to the Meatballs and Music raffle fundraiser for the music and art programs.
The PTFT contributed to the PTHS Athletic department again this year with a $900 donation to the program.
The Gratitude Run is a Thanksgiving morning event in Peters Township, dedicated to bringing our community together to support a local family in need. The PTFT have been proud contributors to this wonderful cause for the past three years.
