On Thursday, March 20, 2025, the high school staff participated in the Ken McWilliams Memorial Chili Cook-Off. Ken was a former paraprofessional at the high school and a big proponent of the chili cook-off.

We would like to give a BIG shout-out to Kevin Bastos who has so graciously continued this tradition by organizing the chili cook-off, an annual tradition at PTHS since 2011. Staff are invited to cook and share their delicious chili, both traditional and non-traditional recipes. Everyone else is invited to taste and vote for the winner. PTHS looks forward to this fun lunch event each year, and it’s a great way to mingle with one another while raising money for a good cause. Each year, we raise money for a worthwhile cause close to our heart—usually to help one of our own at the high school or within the PT community. This year, the PTFT Philanthropy Fund was selected to help support the scholarship for a current senior who hopes to pursue a degree in Education. We raised $358!
