Middle School teacher Harry Bushmire has been selected to receive the Pennsylvania Smart/Maher VFW Citizenship Education Teacher Award for the 2024-2025 school year.  Teachers that are nominated for this achievement are recognized by the VFW for their demonstration of Citizenship, Innovation, Resources, and Passion.

Mr. Bushmire served for nine years in the Army National Guard and was the combat medic for the 128th Forward Support Battalion.  He teaches 8th grade social studies at Peters Township Middle School.
