On Thursday, March 20, 2025, the high school staff participated in the Ken McWilliams Memorial Chili Cook-Off. Ken was a former paraprofessional at the high school and a big proponent of the chili cook-off.
We would like to give a BIG shout-out to Kevin Bastos who has so graciously continued this tradition by organizing the chili cook-off, an annual tradition at PTHS since 2011.
Middle School teacher Harry Bushmire has been selected to receive the Pennsylvania Smart/Maher VFW Citizenship Education Teacher Award for the 2024-2025 school year. Teachers that are nominated for this achievement are recognized by the VFW for their demonstration of Citizenship, Innovation, Resources, and Passion.
